Catalina Club I Hospitality Interior Design

The Challenge

To redesign the bar, lounge, dining precinct, outdoor dining, function room and cafe within a tight budget while improving the customer experience for a wide range of users. The club needed clearer operational flow, stronger back of house connections, better acoustics and layouts that could flex with seasonal changes.

Our Approach

Catalina Club located in Batemans Bay engaged X+O to reimagine key hospitality spaces with a focus on operational clarity and customer comfort. We planned distinct zones for golfers both male and female, families and the eighteen to forty year old demographic, ensuring each group had an experience tailored to their needs. Layouts were designed to adapt easily throughout the year while maintaining smooth circulation across all areas.

Flexible seating solutions allowed the club to adjust capacity and atmosphere without compromising movement or efficiency. Back of house links and bar placement were strategically planned to support efficient service to every seating zone with minimal staff travel distance and strong sightlines.

Acoustic comfort shaped the material selection. Warm timber acoustic feature ceilings, custom carpets and acoustic vinyl flooring were introduced to manage reverberation and create a calm and comfortable dining and social environment throughout the club.
