Engadine Bowling Club I Hospitality Interior Design

Banquette seating at Engadine Bowling Club

The Challenge

This bowling club needed a fresh, contemporary look that would attract new patrons and increase sales, but without the cost or downtime of a complete rebuild. The goal was to achieve a significant visual uplift and improved atmosphere while working within a modest budget.

Our Approach

Our strategy focused on delivering a cost-effective renovation with maximum impact. By retaining all structural elements and focusing on finishes, lighting and layout, we created a renewed and inviting environment that has already driven a strong return on investment.

The design was inspired by the adjacent national park, drawing on its natural tones, textures and warmth to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that connects to the local landscape.

We refreshed the interiors with new flooring, paint, wallpaper and pendant lighting. The existing bar was re-clad with a cost-effective tile, becoming a standout feature without extensive construction costs.

Zoning was a key part of the design. Seating layouts were reconfigured to cater for different customer types and group sizes, creating distinct zones within the open plan layout. Variation in flooring, ceiling and wall finishes further helped to define these areas and break up the space, giving the venue depth and character.

The result was that the transformation delivered an immediate uplift in both sales and patronage. The refreshed interiors have not only improved the customer experience but also inspired the client to continue planning for future renovations in other areas of the club as a result of the ROI.

This project demonstrates how targeted, cosmetic upgrades can deliver fast, measurable results while elevating brand perception and community engagement.
